Join Deaf-Blind mosaic artist, Mary Dignan, for an engaging conversation about her artistic process and techniques.  Based in Sacramento, Mary creates beautiful, intricate mosaics and will have some on display during the program.  Her artwork has been shown at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, and most recently at the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired in San Francisco.

Disability Resources Fair

​California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Disability Resources Fair and Awards, CDSS Headquarters, 744 P Street, Sacramento CA 95814.  Mosaics will be on display at the Disability Resources Fair.

 I’m an award recipient and featured speaker at the awards ceremony, which will take place between noon and 1 p.m.

“The Mosaics of Mary Dignan,” at the County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers, in the Supervisors’ Chambers.

This exhibition showcases ceramic tile and mixed media mosaics created by deafblind artist Mary Dignan. The mosaics offer an insight into the unique perspective of an artist with Usher Syndrome, a genetic disorder and the leading cause of deafblindness. The exhibition is in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers from July 9, 2015 to January 5, 2016.
