Mathru School for the Differently-Abled
late Wednesday 1/8/14
Things are looking up. Two days on the new meds have done away with the sore throat, and taking off from teaching today helped, too. I appreciate Divya being so understanding when I canceled at the last minute. I took a two-and-a-half hour nap and felt much better.
Mom wants me to give it up and go home already, but really Mom, it is working out. Muktha wanted to take me to the doctor again, but I said to wait for the new meds to work. If I'm not 100 percent next week, she promises to get me to a specialist who will do a proper exam, including chest x-ray, etc.
I had a good few hours working on the new mosaic, too. While it wasn't a teaching day today, some of the teachers dropped in to see how I was doing, and stayed to watch me use my popsicle sticks to control the texture and layers in the mosaic. If Muktha keeps them supplied with materials, I have no doubt they'll be able to carry on the mosaic classes just fine after I leave.
Only three more weeks of teaching left. Mayu flies in from Mumbai Friday Jan. 31 to visit until Sun. Feb. 2, and then Linda arrives that night from Singapore. I'm going to get a nice hotel room for Mayu's visit and maybe also the first night of Linda's stay here. Then Feb. 6-10 is our Sri Lanka trip, and we leave Bangalore Feb. 12 for our trip home, via Hong Kong and Manila.
So the best is yet to come. I can hang in for three more weeks.
